JMG Limited has commissioned an advanced hybrid solar power system at its Victoria Island branch in Lagos, combining 66kWp of solar photovoltaic generation, 80kW of hybrid inverter capacity and 81.92kWh of lithium battery storage to cut the branch’s reliance on diesel generators.

The system, engineered using load analysis software and premium components including LONGi solar modules and Deye hybrid inverters and battery storage, is expected to generate about 94.8MWh of clean electricity annually, covering roughly 80% of the branch’s energy needs. JMG estimates the installation will offset around 28,000 litres of diesel consumption a year, saving an estimated N50 million in fuel costs while preventing more than 37 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Hussein Abbas, JMG’s Head of Solar Division, said the Victoria Island branch now serves as a real-world demonstration of how businesses can improve energy reliability and cut costs through hybrid power systems, giving customers and project developers a live example of the company’s commercial solar solutions in operation.
